Jarjums Do... Weaving Resurgence

Children learn about traditional weaving techniques – who wove, what was used, how it was done and why. Each program offers one lead presenter face to face guiding children and educators in learning a tradition weaving stitch and create a modern sculpture for the centre to keep. Educators are given an opportunity to ask and see how this practice can be embedded into their service. All materials are included.

Resurgence program: An in-depth investigation of traditional weaving delivered over 10 weeks, culminating in a collaborative modern 2D sculpture and an invitation to exhibit in an annual resurgence art gallery exhibition. Each session will include practical activity and opportunities to create keepsake items.

Resurgence program cost: $12,650 (includes 10x 45-min sessions, TPL for 10 educators, Collaborative 2D sculpture, Weaving Education Kit, and an invitation for piece to be displayed at the Resurgence Exhibition).
