The Possum Skin Cloak Aboriginal Education Kit is a fantastic resource for primary school teachers and educators. The purpose of the kit is to provide cultural understanding of possum skin cloak making, how, where, and why these resources are utilised. This resource is designed to provide teachers with the ability to implement the content in line with the Australian Curriculum 9.0.

This resource was written by and with, senior cloak makers and are endorsed by Hunter Regional AECG.

The kit comes in a lightweight cardboard briefcase, making it easy for travel and accessible for most educators.

The kit includes:

  • Teachers manual including links to the curriculum, including lesson suggestions and templates
  • A baby Possum Skin Cloak (3 pelts hand stitched)
  • ochres and other cloak making resource and tools samples.
