Following on from their participation in the Deadly Teacher’s Solid Jarjums program, educators at Uniting Adamstown Heights Preschool engaged our team to have an artist in residence within the centre.
Cultural Resurgence @ the Newcastle Museum
Check out our exhibition Cultural Resurgence showing at the Newcastle Musuem 5th March- 30th May 2020.
As our exhibition at the Newcastle Museum will be closed to the public due to Covid19 for the majority of the 3mths, we wanted to inspire you at home by bringing aspects of the show to you. Every few days we have been highlighting one page from the catalogue featuring one of the projects. These projects are made by community and student groups- in a form of cultural revitalisation. The products themselves are not perfect and nor should they be, they are the teaching tools.
Big thanks to our corporates who’s contracts allow us to spend time and resources to help make these projects happen and shine.
Before the lockdown and closure of the exhibition at Newcastle Museum we had the privilege of speaking with Jenny Marchant at ABC Newcastle about our possum skin cloaks we have on display.
