Dawn Conlan is a proud Gomilaroi Woman, mother of four and grandmother to five. Dawn has extensive experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities at grass roots level.
Dawn is an active member of many Aboriginal organisations in her local area and a strong advocate for Aboriginal Women as well as Aboriginal Culture and Heritage matters. She has previously worked in Aboriginal identified positions within Forests NSW, Hunter Central Rivers Catchment Management Authority and the University of Newcastle. Dawn is currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Indigenous Research at Deakin University, understands Indigenous Knowledges and its application to teaching and learning.
As a facilitator and weaver Dawn brings to Speaking in Colour unique Community engagement, public relations skills and cultural women’s knowledge which is invaluable.
